TV Distribution Systems

Connecting a digital Freesat or SKY digital set top box to a distribution system can provide access to a complete range of services via a single coax cable to any number of television points around the home.
A good quality, branded home distribution unit can provide :

• Locally available terrestrial channels
• FM radio channels
• DAB radio channels
• Standard definition output from a digital satellite box (SKY, SKY+ or SKY+ High Definition)*
• Standard definition output from a digital freesat box †
• Standard definition output from a DVD player †
• Standard definition output from CCTV cameras †

*(Newer model Sky boxes may require I/O link). Output WILL NOT be high definition

High definition over cat 5/6 network cable

This technology is used to enable distribution of a high definition source such as Sky HD, SKY Q, Virgin Media, BT Vision, Blue Ray players and many more. This gives the same picture quality as you receive at the main TV where the main HD source is situated. This can be achieved without any loss of signal quality over distances of upto 120 metres when using the correct HDMI extender. Remote control capabilities can also be achieved with certain products like the Labgear HDX60P (60 metres max).
